Sisters, Gloria and Julie who make up A Just Glad Media, were blessed with two very extraordinary parents. Their parents were people who always prided themselves on having a close knit family. A family united not only by love, but also by intense and devoted religious beliefs for God. The whole family attended church services regularly where their father was a Church of God minister. Gloria recalls her father praying, preaching, singing, and reading the bible at an early age, carrying on a family tradition of being heavily involved in ministry. Their mother raised them in a home where the word of God was always foremost in the everyday duties of family life. She also taught piano lessons, raised 8 children who made up most of the church choir, and prayed for the sick.
A seed was planted in the sister’s heart from their earliest recollections. In Psalms 112 it states that “His seed shall be mighty upon the earth, the generation of the upright shall be blessed.” Their story is one of strong family ties and blessings.
Gloria Adams admits she was proverbial at the right place at the right time to ride the crest of Christian music’s growing popularity. In 1974, while living in small Georgia town know as Jesup. Gloria started as a radio announcer for a Christian radio station. Within a few years, she found herself as the morning host of AM 900 Savannah’s number one gospel station by Arbitron ratings. By 1978, she was called the “sweetheart of gospel music” by Savannah Morning News. It was there that her ministry began. She found favor with the owners and quickly moved up the corporate ladder. Holding various titles from music and program director, to business manager, accounts payable, to general manager. Gloria brought a uniqueness of work ethics, personality, talent, and faithfulness to God that made her accomplishments as a successful business woman possible. While being active in her church’s radio ministry and serving as a consultant for local television and radio ministry Gloria redefined the multi-faceted operations of radio. Today, Gloria is determined to continue what she’s always done: reach people with a message of hope in an often bleak world no matter what outlet God opens. Gloria Adams resides in Savannah, Georgia with her husband of 38 years and is the proud mother of three sons. She has six grandchildren.
Julie Stanley dreamed of politics and public speaking as a student, while attending the public schools of Savannah, Georgia. Unknown to her, it would be years before that dream would become a reality. Once married, it wasn’t long before she found herself her raising a family in the Pentecostal faith, much like her parents, all the while playing the piano and leading a Jr. Youth Choir at the Sharon Park Church of God. The musical influences of her mother’s piano lessons as a child were now being used in ministry. Later, her husband and close friends formed a gospel group that toured much of the southeast, where Julie served as a singer and pianist. The touring provided somewhat of a stage for public speaking, yet still; Characteristically, Julie still had the desire for public speaking. Timing is everything. And the timing of her husband’s illness that was now in pulpit ministry pushed her into the responsibilities of filling his role as a pastor. Today, Julie an ordained minister serves as the senior pastor of LifeSpring Worship Center and president and founder of Master’s College of Georgia. She is also administrator of LifeSpring Christian Academy and holds a doctorate from Jacksonville Seminary. She was married to the late Rev, Billy Stanley for 40 years and has one son and two daughters. She has 10 grandchildren.
With today’s newest technology, Gloria and Julie felt a call to combined their talents and Godly heritage and go and do as the Lord commanded and to preach the gospel to all the nations through the music and the spoken word on the internet. It was in June 2007 that A Just Glad Media was birthed. Psalms 126:3 “The Lord has done great things for us; therefore we are just glad”
A Just Glad Media Group has been founded to bridge culture and denomination barriers through music and ministry and to meet the ever-changing technology needs of society and to provide a quality outlet that will enrich and share the love of Jesus with the world regardless of denominations.
